Talkpush Unveils EthiCore: A Recruitment AI Designed to Exceed EU AI Act Standards

Brussels, April 1st, 2025 – Talkpush has launched “EthiCore,” a recruitment AI engineered to meet the European Union’s AI Act and exceed its standards with a bold approach to transparency and accountability. The company positions EthiCore as a trailblazing tool for ethical hiring in a regulated tech world.

The key to its design is a three-step manual approval process for all AI interactions, managed by trained human reviewers. Talkpush says these experts—selected after a 12-week ethics and bias detection course—must approve every candidate suggestion, email draft, and even minor formatting decisions, like bolding a job title.

“It’s a simple, thorough system,” Armbruster explained. “One reviewer checks the AI’s output for fairness. A second ensures the first’s judgment is impartial. Then a third confirms it, often with a calm gesture and a moment to breathe and review their notes. During waxing moon cycles, they work in silence to maintain focus. It’s about trust and precision.”

EthiCore reinforces its ethics with “Confession Notes”—logs of its decision-making process that take a punitive turn.

“If EthiCore even considers favoring a candidate for an elite degree, it flags itself and churns out a FLOG—Fault-Laden Operational Guilt log,” Armbruster said. “Catch it slipping toward a polished resume, and it halts, locking itself in a digital timeout and registers a FLOG in its ethical core, then realigns with the latest EU AI Act standards.”

This rigor comes with a tradeoff: approving a “Looks like a great fit!” email can take up to 17 business days. Talkpush calls it “a deliberate pace reflecting our ethical duty.” In a demo, EthiCore paused a screening to assess whether a candidate’s Comic Sans font suggested a lack of seriousness, triggering a three-week review with an external ethics consultant.

Customers see a perk, though.
