Tenet Healthcare traded a flood of paid leads for 48% more hires
Before: a flood of leads, and recruiters drowning in it
Tenet Healthcare runs one of the largest captive healthcare operations in the Philippines. From its Global Business Center in Taguig, Tenet and its Conifer Health teams code charts, work claims, credential physicians and support patients for hospitals and surgery centers across the US. Tina Bautista, Senior Recruitment Director, leads the hiring that keeps those teams growing.
For years, the answer to every new headcount was more ads. Facebook and online campaigns poured tens of thousands of applicants into the funnel. On a dashboard it looked like success. On the recruiting floor it was a flood: it took 76 leads to make a single hire.
Most of those leads went nowhere. Applications sat half-finished in the inbox. The same candidate applied to three look-alike campaigns and got three sets of emails. Recruiters opened profile after profile to find the few who actually held the credential a coding role demands.
More ads only meant more noise. Tenet didn't need more applicants. It needed the right ones, and a way to spot them before a recruiter ever picked up the phone.
The fix: stop buying volume, build a pipeline
Tenet turned its paid ads down almost to zero and put its energy into channels that bring people who actually want the job: employee referrals, job boards, Facebook Messenger and its own walk-in recruitment hubs in BGC and Bridgetowne.
Talkpush became the single front door. Whether a candidate taps a referral link, messages the Tenet Global Business Center page or scans a QR code at a hiring event, they land in the same pipeline and answer the role's prescreening questions right away, before a recruiter spends a minute on them.
After: one pipeline, fewer leads, more hires
Referrals are now Tenet's fastest-growing source, up 78%, and job-board applications are climbing too. Paid ads have all but disappeared.
Leads are down 11%. Hires are up 48%. It now takes 45 leads to make a hire instead of 76, and seven in ten applicants finish prescreening.
Today the pipeline runs across more than 260 active campaigns, from medical coding and revenue cycle to clinical and corporate roles.
The results
Fewer leads, better leads, and more of them hired.

What's next: the system does the job
Tenet is now rolling out Talkpush AI interviews for its medical coding and revenue-cycle roles. Every candidate who finishes prescreening gets an interview that checks the role's must-haves, and a candidate who misses one role can be reprofiled into a better fit, or into Tenet's sponsored Coding University.
Interview booking moves onto hiring managers' calendars, so candidates pick their own slot. The goal is simple: recruiters spend their time on the people worth hiring, and the pipeline handles the rest.
