Carelon meets candidates where they are and hires in a median 3.9 days
Carelon Global Solutions Philippines hires clinical nurses, customer care teams and analysts for Elevance Health, one of the largest health plans in the US. Hiring used to ask candidates to come to Carelon: find the form, join the walk-in line, wait for a call. Now they apply in Facebook Messenger, and the median hire takes 3.9 days.

Before: making candidates come to us
Carelon Global Solutions Philippines is the clinical and customer care engine behind Elevance Health. Its teams in Taguig, Pasig and Iloilo include clinical nurses, customer care representatives, systems analysts and accountants, and the hiring never stops.
For years, the model asked candidates to do the work. Find the careers page. Fill in a long form. Queue at a walk-in. Wait for a call. Recruiters worked the list one name at a time: calling to check who qualified, chasing follow-ups, collecting documents file by file.
Every hand-off was a place to lose someone. A good candidate could wait days for a call and take another offer in the meantime. Workday registration arrived as a separate set of instructions, and strong hires stalled right there.
Filipino candidates live on Facebook Messenger. Carelon's hiring didn't.
The fix: go where candidates already are
When Elevance Health's global talent acquisition team first saw Talkpush, one idea landed. Instead of asking candidates to come to Carelon, Carelon could go to them.
From the first demo, the candidate experience is what stood out:
“Talkpush is a comprehensive solution — and the candidate experience is what stands out. You come to where they already are. Most of the time, we make them come to us.”

Carelon Philippines made Talkpush its front door for hiring: one conversational apply flow in Messenger, and one pipeline for every other channel.
After: one front door, every channel
Today a candidate messages Carelon on Facebook and the conversation does the rest: role questions, prescreening, reminders and next steps, all in the same thread. 95% of candidates who start in Messenger finish screening.
Job boards, referrals, Facebook and Instagram ads, field hiring events and walk-ins land in the same pipeline. Recruiters see one list, tagged by source, instead of a pile of inboxes and spreadsheets.
Messenger-first apply
Candidates apply in the chat app they already use. Screening, reminders and next steps stay in one thread.
Every channel, one pipeline
Messenger, job boards, referrals, social ads, field events and walk-ins land in one place, tagged by source.
Workday without the drop-off
Candidates are guided to complete their Workday registration as part of the same journey, no separate instructions, no dropped handoff.
Documents in the flow
Onboarding documents are collected in the same journey as screening, so new hires don't leave the pipeline at the offer.
Walk-ins still matter in Manila and Iloilo. Now they land in the same pipeline as every chat, so no candidate falls between two systems.
The results
Tens of thousands of candidates, thousands of hires, and a hiring clock measured in days, not weeks.

What's next: more of the journey on autopilot
Carelon keeps growing in the Philippines, with new floors in Iloilo and an innovation hub in Taguig.
The next step is to automate more of what happens after screening, from interview scheduling to onboarding, so recruiters spend their time on the conversations that decide a hire.
